Dunhill “Thames Oak” pipe from Alfred Dunhill features pieces of wood from an actual timber from the first Roman port facilities built around 63 AD. The wood was found when an archaeological team from the museum of London was excavating a side just north of London Bridge. Amazingly the silt of the river bed had preserved the inner core of the oak timbers. The ” Thames Oak” features a titanium band with inserts of Roman Oak pieces. The tamper is also crafted from the same ancient Oak. The band and the lid of the box are engraved with the image of the river Thames. This pipe comes with a numbered certificate of Authenticity charting the life span of the Roman Oak. It has not been smoked
